European Program Overview

Welcome to the European hub at the Blockchain Revolution Global, co-hosted by leading industry stakeholders, namely the Blockchain Research Institute Europe (BRIE), a European blockchain think tank, and Blockwall, a European venture capital fund focused on blockchain technology.

At the European hub we want to display the state of blockchain technology in Europe and where this path is going to be taking us. For one, attendees will hear from representatives of supranational and national policy-makers about the current regulatory environment in the context of digital assets and how this environment is currently being adapted to complement blockchain technology in a globally exemplary fashion. Further, our program will discuss the importance of funding nascent ecosystems in the context of the complementary roles that venture capital investors take alongside sovereign investors in promoting and enabling innovation in Europe. The interplay between these stakeholder groups is essential in closing the funding gap in the European blockchain venture market and thereby facilitating the emergence of exceptional ventures and business models. The need for bringing together innovators and pioneers with industry-leading enterprises and corporates will be explored as it is embodied in the mission of bridging the gap between the technological functionality of blockchain and the real market need. These parties need to be brought together to collaborate and cooperate on innovation and development in order to identify and pinpoint the true advantages and opportunities that blockchain technology offers. This lays the foundation for these solutions to be tailored to and implemented in traditional industries and business processes, as exemplified in the utilization of blockchain technology in supply chain ecosystems today. At the same time, the challenges of implementing blockchain technology will be evaluated in order to shed light on those business cases that are poised to disrupt traditional industries in the near future.

These topics will be discussed throughout a series of high-profile and insightful panels with a focus on how and why enterprises are engaging with blockchain technology. Attendees will gain first-hand insights into their perspective on the opportunities and challenges of implementing and investing in blockchain technology.

Thank you to our panelists for their contribution in shaping the future of innovation in Europe!
