Andrew grew up in one of the most run-down areas of South Wales. Home was a block of flats, on a very tough Council estate. It was deemed to be such a bad area in which to reside by the local news channels that ‘Wales this Week’ made a TV documentary about it. Andrew, however, felt that it was a fantastic place to grow up and this environment instilled into Andrew a voracious will to win which manifested itself on the football & rugby field, in the boxing ring, and later in Military life and on into business.
Business has been a journey that has enabled Andrew to operate globally, including spending six years at recently privatised FTSE 250 company; Colt Technology Services, where he served in leadership roles across several Executive functions, ending as Group Chief Operating Officer. Andrew now serves as Group CEO of social impact business route2work, parent company for education and careers provider; The Training Room, and for digital talent acquisition and talent management business; Infinity Global.IO.
Andrew is also a Charity Champion for Dreams Come True: https://www.dreamscometrue.uk.com a charity that focuses on making individual dreams a reality for terminally ill or seriously life impaired children, and over the past ten years he has raised more than £100k personally through many differing events; including running marathons and organising and hosting charity tribute nights and gala balls.
